So on my way home from work last night, I stopped at a stoplight. There was this black man in his late forties probably who was crossing the street on the crosswalk. We made eye contact, which normally I try to avoid doing with anyone crossing the crosswalk, especially in that area. Then he says, "That's a pretty white girl right there mmmhhmm." And he kept saying other things but I didn't really hear him. I gave him a little smile and then looked away. He stared at me the whole time he passed my car.
Normally, I would have been a little creeped out, but it kind of made me feel good and laugh a little. I was looking rather good yesterday.

You are a gorgeous white girl. You are looking skinnier and skinnier. Still going to the gym every morning?
I agree with your mom. You are gorgeous! It's nice to have those little moments when someone just out of the blue says so, isn't it. Last year some male at school said something nice to me (no flirting involved) and I was floating for days.
Talk about floating for days, I really liked the comments you and Ben left me over at 'In Season'.
That reminds me about how whenever I leave town, people are always complimenting me. It's almost like you have to get out of your culture for people to notice how cool you really are or in this case, how pretty you really are!
It is so nice to hear nice things about yourself, but I also want to reiterate that you are gorgeous.
Hey, maybe you'll meet another Italian guy in Europe...I know you're not going to Italy, but it could still happen. :)
