Word Vomit

I think lately it has become my mission to fill my life with interesting people. Normally, this would be something I would not do because I feel that I am so uninteresting that being around those who are of interest would make me feel bad. Though this does still occur, I feel in a way that I am interesting because I know them. I have always been one to live vicariously through other people. This adds to my sadness sometimes when my inner self asks annoying questions like "When are you gonna be interesting yourself? Wouldn't you rather be someone you can admire? Wouldn't it be great if somone found you interesting?" I usually come up with same answers "I don't know. Of course. Maybe there is but they haven't voiced it to me" I also wonder if some of the people whom I find fascinating feel the same way I do sometimes. Anyway the main point of the post was to point out those people who are semi-recent additions to my life and praise them for their full lives.

Book Club/The Bachelor Gals
The group of girls are some of my favorite people. Most of them are in my ward and I remember first thinking when I would see them around or kind of talk to them at activities how cool they were and that I wanted to be their friend. (They were all mostly friends already) But I didn't know how. My roommate was and is friends with them and she heard they were starting a bookclub. When she told me about it, I knew I had to join. This was my in. Ultimately the best decision. They have become some of my greatest friends. I learn so much from them and I laugh constantly when we all get together. I get hair tips, design tips, gardening tips. They all are so involved in so many things. They are amazing women.

My Roommates
If any of you have even known me for a day, I probably have made mention of my roommate Loralee. She is truly one the most fascinating people I have ever met. Not just in her talents but in her thought processes, how she deals with dating, and just general things. It seems there is nothing she can't do. I honestly don't know what is wrong with the guys of the world because there is no sane reason why this girl has not been snatched up. My other roommate Tamara is a little more closed but she knows a lot about life. I am even in awe of her Nazi like attitude toward cleaning. She is a fantastic guitar player and she has the confidence to wear the greatest outfits and heels all the time.

My Cousins
Okay so these aren't really recent additions but the way my relationship has changed with most of them is. I was just thinking the other day how close I am these days to so many of my cousins. People who during my childhood just treated me like a kid because I was so much younger than they were. Now we relate to each other on so many levels. I love hearing about their lives and decisions they are making. Most are bloggers so that makes it easy. It's amazing to me that these amazing people have been around me all my life.

Bloggers
These are people that I don't know but I am allowed into their lives through their blogs so I feel like I know them. Blogging has almost become an addiction. I read mostly women's blogs and almost everyday I am amazed, I learn something new, I am touched to the heart, or I laugh out loud. CJane's was probably my first non-family blog that I began to regularly read. It felt weird at first but I felt it was okay because I was the cousin of one of her mission companions. From hers and my cousin's blog is where the sickness got started. I would click their links and it would lead me to some new fascinating person and so on and so on. I tend to be one who hates starting in the middle so if I get involved in a blog that seems interesting I have to read it from their very first post. Then I feel I know them as well as any other blog reader. Below is a list of my favorite blogs. Everyone should check them out.

Thanks to all of you for making my life more interesting by letting me into yours. Hopefully I'll be able to return the favor someday.

Yay! Someone likes me! Yay!

Cassie, I enjoy reading your blog, too. I've noticed that they've been rather positive lately, and that's cool. I also like the creepy guy stories. I think I'm living vicariously through you sometimes.

Design Mom: I found many of those great blogs from your site so thanks.

Cardine: I'm sure there are some negative posts looming in the future so be prepared. I would really like to read a new post of yours hint hint.

Wow, Cassie, I can't believe you don't think of yourself as interesting. You are one of the most interesting people I know. This blog offers lots of examples.

I'm flattered that you included me on your list of interesting blogs. I'm off right now to check out some of the others - like I need anymore blogs on my list! Even though I never cook anymore, I'm going to Just Recipes first thing.

Cassie, it seems like you, Julie and Alyson have been there for me from the beginning. I should write a song or something. Hope to meet you for real someday!

Hi Cassie! Thanks for linking me, too.

I have a friend who says (more or less) if you're interested in interesting people then you are interesting, too. So consider yourself interesting!

In any case, I guess I should only speak for myself, but my life is rather ordinary, and mostly I like it that way. But blogging is a good way to remember those moments that stick out in your ordinary days--for better or for worse.

What!?!? You are SO interesting! And, I'm not just saying that because you are one of my favorite cousins. Would I spend hours upon hours talking to you if you weren't interesting?!?! (No!!) You have a unique perspective on so many subjects and your sense of humor is well-defined and active. You observe others and tend to have witty, perceptive commentaries on what you observe. Remember that "interesting" covers a lot of bases, not just a couple.

As to your links, I really want to look at them, but I probably won't any time too soon. As it is, I spend more time on the computer than I'd like (all day at work!) and life is getting hectic, so more time blogging probably isn't in the cards for me right now. Thanks for including me, though.

Well, thanks everyone for thinking me interesting. If what CW says is true then I owe all my interestingness? to all of you.

Did you really go back and read from the beginning? That's a commitment!

Azucar, I haven't read yours from the beginning, yet. I usually devote myself to one blog to read from the beginning while still reading everyone else's current posts. Then when I'm finished with that one I'll pick a new blog to read from the start. Maybe you'll be next.
