Grateful for a good book to read
I have so many books to read and I love when they turn out to be really good. Last night I stayed up very very late to completely read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It was great. It's our January book club book. The only problem is that it is the first book in a series and it was only just published this fall so I have a long wait ahead of me before I can find out what happens next. But it's a very interesting take on a post-apocalyptic world. It was very thrilling, though of course, somewhat predictable but a lot of books are. There is a mild cliff hanger at the end and maybe in a year or whenever the next one comes out I won't care, but right now I can't stand not to have a resolution. Whoever invented series was a sadist. Oh well, I'm on to my next book, Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale. I'm sure this will be good as I really like most of her other books. I'm going to try to read three books a month just to get a little higher number at my end of year.

I need to read more, too. I've been in a funk for over 6 months. Hope you like Thousand Days. It's one of my favorites of Hale's.
I'm always sad when I finish a really good book because the experience is over. So I like series because you can prolong the experience but it's hard when you have to wait a year for the next one. I liked Thousand Days also. But then I like all her books. Are you going to bring Host home for me to borrow?
