Some Resolutions

I haven't completely finished my resolution list but I'll let you know a few. First I had an okay New Years Eve night. Went to a movie with Loralee and David and then we met up with some friends for dinner and then headed up to the institute for a party. It wasn't very good. Lots of stuff going on but everyone was so young. We danced a little and played a little pool. I did get a New Years kiss from my friend Jason. No biggie, but a nice way to start off the year. Then we went to Loralee's house for some hot cocoa.

Anyway, one of my resolutions is to post a blog everyday. One way I'm going to do that is to post something I'm grateful for everyday. I've been feeling pretty down lately and I think if I focus more on what's good in my life than that could help. I got the idea from my aunt who kept a gratitude journal. And if I get the urge to post a depressing rant then I have to post three things I'm grateful for.

So here goes...I'm grateful that I've made it through another year pretty much okay. No major disasters, in fact I've had some good times with family and friends. Other than the last few months it's been a pretty good year. Stay tuned for my year in review.

Dude. I have a gratitude journal too, and it's AMAZING. I just write down 5 things that I'm thankful for, and I do it every night. EVERY night. Even when I'm drunk (those are fun to look back on) or way tired. That's it. I don't think about it during the day, or after I do it, but I have had such a better attitude since I started doing it.

I need to start up a gratitude journal again. I enjoyed the time I spent writing in it and my attitude improved one hundred percent. Thanks for the reminder, Cassie. I was just feeling blue because there are so many goals I can't set because of so many curve balls coming my way, but writing in a gratitude journal is something I CAN do.

I am grateful for you, for your example. You've tackled some pretty sizable projects this last year and received benefits for doing so. Your cheery attitude at Christmas lifted my spirits. You were so much fun playing Curses. And I love seeing the great relationship and love you and your mom share. Things about you easily filled my 3 things I'm grateful on Jan 1.

Since my original Gratitude Journal is safely tucked under protective tarp in the garage, I am going to buy a new, pretty journal tomorrow just for this project. YAY! Good feelings are already starting to focus.

I love that you're going to blog every day! I'm selfish - I like reading your posts! Good luck. I also love the idea of writing at least one thing for which you're grateful every day.

Like Book, I'm definitely grateful for you and for our friendship! I love you!

Tonya I think that is awesome. Thanks so much booklogged and Julie. I'm glad to have testimonials that this will work.

What a great idea. I should do it as well, but I have a hard time writing a monthly journal entry. But I think this year, I will add a gratitude section and keeps notes in my calendar so I will remember what I'm grateful for. I feel better already.
