Three days worth of gratitude

Got a little busy the last couple of days so sorry for those eager to read the gratitude posts. So I'll do three things I'm grateful for.

First I'm grateful for a safe trip home. I drove home last night to visit my mom. I'm always a little paranoid these days at driving at night. I've had so many safe trips home for so many years, I just feel like soon my turn will come to have a deer jump out in front of my car. I see them littered along the way so I know it happens but luckily before I've been there. Lately, I've taken to uttering a small prayer as I'm driving to bless me to be safe. So I'm always grateful to have made it as soon as I pull into the driveway.

Second, I'm so grateful for being able to sleep in. One more perk of being single I think is that you don't have to get up and get things done for your family on Saturdays. I'm really big on the sleep in because most Friday nights I can stay up until 2 am to sometimes 5 am. Sure, I would get more done if I got up early but I've never been a morning person so I tend to get things done at night anyway.

Third, I'm so grateful for long weekends. It's Martin Luther King, Jr. day on Monday and I have work off, hence the reason I decided to come home. I really needed another holiday. Work was getting pretty stressful and this weekend will be all about relaxing and spending time with mom. Then I'll have only four days to work until the next weekend. Yay!!

I'm glad you made it home safe and sound. I worry about hitting deer, too.

I love sleeping in, too. I just wish I'd go to bed earlier so when I slept in I'd be getting more than 8 hours of sleep!

I hope you have a great day off of work!

Love ya!

I always assumed that as people got older they wouldn't sleep in any longer, but I still do. That's when I really get in the 'good' sleep.
