S.R.P.s

Okay so you know how I said in the last post that beauty does not equal pain? Well, that isn't the case here. But, I'm chalking it up to breaking in time.

These are my S.R.P.s (Sexy, Red, Pumps)aka Madeline Stuarts (brand). Ooh I kind of like that name. I think that's what I'll call them from now on. "I christen you The Madelines." (That wasn't too sacreligious, was it?) I recently acquired these vixens at Ross. What a great store. Interestingly enough I did not go there to find shoes or if I did it was to find conservative brown ones for work. I was accompanying my roomie to return some S.R.P.s she herself had just purchased, but she couldn't really walk in them comfortably (not too much of a high heel person...though she tries). So as I was browsing the mess of shoes (it's always a mess) looking for some lovely brown heels to jump out at me, these tackled me instead.

There has to be some chemistry between me and my shoes before I will buy them. At times I have ignored the chemistry in the interest of my pocketbook. Why is he always trying to keep us apart? But this time there was no argument, me and my Madelines had to be together even if it meant running away together . Oh I could go off right here about the wonderful life we would live together living on the streets because lets face it I'm not going to get far without my pocketbook, but I'll spare you.

So anyway I purchased my first pair of Sexy, Red, Pumps. We are having a rocky start, but isn't it said that the first year of most relationships are like that. Due to the constant digging into one of my toes causing searing jabs of pain with each step, The Madelines, may be reduced to limited appearances at church where there is constant sitting and only lasts for three hours. Today may be their first and last experience at work. Though this may be the case I am still driven to find an amazing outfit to go with these shoes. Oh man I just contradicted myself from my last post. I guess there are exceptions to every rule.

I think every woman should have a pair of S.R.P.s, preferably ones you like to wear for longer than five minutes. I think they give that little oomph to a wardrobe. If you've got that great pair of S.R.P.s then you know that every once in a while you want to feel sexy and confident and I think these shoes do that for me. So even if they don't make it out in public too often maybe I'll wear them around the house (five minutes only) when I need that little boost of confidence and I can tell myself, "Yep, you are totally hot enough to pull these shoes off."
Now does anyone have a bandaid?

hey, sorry to break it to you but your shoes are super cheaply made. and will be painful for a while. You would to better to find a tj maxx or marshalls in your area and buy better shoes for about what you paid for those red ones. Not trying to be negative. just saying.

Well, they were pretty cheap. I realize that I get what I pay for. I'm not willing to give up the fight just yet.

Those are definitely sexy shoes. I may get a pair to slip on after I've sat down to read a book. Of course, I'd have to slip them off if I wanted to stand up again!

The look great on you.

I have never read such a hilarious analogy to life as this. I am looking forward to more "shoe" posts. And just remember, "Love hurts."

anonymous: How can you tell that they were super cheaply made? That is what I want to know.

Is it because they hurt her? Is it something in the look of them that tips you off? Is it purely based on where they were purchased? I need some info because I am the WORST shopper on the face of the planet.

no cardine, i used to be a buyer for dillards. and there are certain brands you just don't buy. and they hurt longer because they use cheap leather or bad labor or the molds they cut from are irregular. but they are so cheap to make you make money no matter what you sell them for. life stride is another... and teen brands are hit or miss.

I'm always open to finding other red shoes. I don't have too many loyalties. So if I come across another pair that seems more comfortable I may have to buy them.

Two questions...You went to Ross to buy "conservative" shoes for work, but you bought these instead and wore them to work? Does that mean your brown shoes don't have to be conservatie? Just kidding. Also, it's a good thing you have SRPs if you are going to be "living on the streets". :) Cute post! and very cute shoes!!

I feel motivated to get some S.R.P.'s BUT I too am not a heel girl. So I am the shopper that goes into a store that is so not me, buys the outfit that is so not me because it looks good on the model and never wear. Why? Because it's so not me. BUT my mind has been opened and who know's what may just jump out and "tackle me."
