So, for christmas I got a new video camera. A Panasonic. Its very cute. So I have gone a little crazy with it. My roommates hate me. Well anyway, once a month at my house we have accoustic Tuesday where people come and play their instruments (mostly guitars) and sing covers or original songs. Its really fun. Well, since I had my camera I decided to film everyone who performed. Also, my roommate who runs the show said that this was going to be the last one ever (but not really because she loves it too much, its just a break). So as I was filming the performers and everyone watching, it hit me. I should make a documentary about accoustic Tuesday. The Last Accoustic Tuesday. Now I have never made a movie before so I really have no idea what I'm doing. Luckily I have a friend who does make movies so he helps me. Right now I am still in the gathering footage stage. I need to get more interviews which means coming up with questions which is not my strong point. Also, I don't think people take me seriously including me. So that makes it hard. Its something I really want to follow through on. Its been on the shelf for a couple of weeks now but I still think about it a lot. I'm just stuck on the questions. So maybe you all can help me. You can be my focus group. If this sounds interesting to you what would you like to know about it? Right now I just have footage of the last night with all the performers, I interviewed audience members and performers.
You know I thought the filming part would be the funnest but it is really hard to think about and figure out the shots and composition of the shots and I have don't really know the story line yet. I'm really looking forward to editing it all together. That won't be for a while. Well, I'm looking forward to your responses.

First, does a documentary need a storyline? Well, I guess it does, but doesn't it just write itself in the event you are documenting?
Anyway, this sounds like a lot of fun. I'll try to help you out a little with a few questions.
1. How long have you been coming to Acoustic Tuesday?
2. Do you perform or just come to watch?
3. (if it's a performer) What instrument do you play? What is your favorite song to perform and why?
4. What is your favorite part of Acoustic Tuesday?
5. What was your favorite performance tonight?
Well, that's all I can think of right now. Feel free to use all or none of these, and good luck!
Questions I would want to know:
What inspired you to learn ______ instrument?
Do you have or did you ever have any intentions of pursuing a career in music? If so, what are/were they?
What is your stance on pirated music, and how has music pirating affected your life, your ability to make it big, and the songs that you have played at Acoustic Tuesday?
Has your attendance or performance at Acoustic Tuesday ever been inspired by a crush or love interest?
What song do you think was the most memorable Accoustic Tuesday performance?
I have no suggestions as yet, but I like the other suggestions. I think making the documentary is a great idea. Good luck. I can't wait to see it. Also, let me know if I can do anything to help (I don't know what - just know that the offer is there)!
Thanks you guys for all of your help. I'll definitely take them into consideration. I really need to get back to working on it.
Oh and Cardine, I've been checking your blog and you haven't updated either and its even been longer than it took me. So you might want to get on that. I need something interesting to read.
Yeah, actually, I posted that entry on a Sunday. I don't know why it put that it was Wednesday. I should fix that.
But, you're right. I should update my blog for sure. In fact, I'm also changing the date on that post because I don't go to sacrament meeting on Wednesday, and that's just confusing.
I finally got around to looking at your profile and was surprised to see only one listing under Favorite Movies.
I have now updated the profile. I was probably just lazy the day I filled it out. I was a little lazy today too but its still better
Did you see Memoirs of a Geisha? If so, did you like it?
Yeah, that was a movie with a split vote. Did you?
I did like it a lot. The book is a lot better but the images were gorgeous in the movie. I reccommend reading the book before seeing the movie because they leave a lot of stuff out of the story so it makes the movie easier to follow.
Hmm. I'll have to think about that suggestion. I'll either read the book and not watch the movie or just watch the movie and never read the book. I usually, but not always, shy away from the movie if I really like a book.
I'll probably just watch the movie sometime. I think that's unfortunate because of people like you who say that the book is better.
Has anyone ever seen a movie that was better than the book?
I did once, but now I can't remember what it was. If I'm correct, I think both were bad, the movie was just less bad. I'll try to remember.
I thought Anne of Green Gables the movie was better than the book but that was because I hadn't read it yet when I finally did I had seen the movie so many times and loved it that all the extra stuff in the book or changed around storylines bugged me.
Anne of Green Gables was good as a movie, but I loved the books also. It's been so long since I've read/watched it that I don't remember much about it. I just remember loving both when I was younger.
I really like the Fellowship of the Rings, but I read the trilogy after the first movie, and I didn't enjoy the second and third movies as much. I love the books though.
So maybe it depends on which you did first: see the movie or read the book?
Are the Lines of Communication closed? Just kidding! Just wondering if your going to post something soon. I check everyday and would love to here some new info.
Love you!
P.S. I'll call you tonight to confirm plans for this weekend.
Oh Aly like you are one to talk about taking a long time in between posts. I think pretty hard on what I am going to post because most things that I would want to post are negative and I'm trying to get away from that. But I'll post one soon. Also, I love your new blog. thats awesome.
Hey you didn't call me.
Yeah, sorry. The family decided to have FHE last (we just played a few games) and I lost track of time. I will call you tonight.
I know I can't really say anything, but I had blog block for a couple of months and nothing interesting to really write about. I think I'm out of that phase. How come you didn't suggest a book for my new blog?
i'm not on the internet 24/7 but if you check your new blog I have just suggested a book for you. actually two.
