New Evidence of the Curse

So here is an update to the previous post. On my way out to visit my mother in my hometown my tire blew out 30 minutes before I would have reached the town. Fortunately a nice couple stopped and the husband changed my tire for me. The donut only lasted to my house because that was flat also. Went through many hassles and lots of moolah (thanks mom) to fix it but it all came out all right. Except now my car has this grease/maybe gas smell in it. Which just showed up last night. I hope it goes away soon. So I'll just tack this onto the list of mishaps with this car.

UGH! I hope it wasn't during a rainstorm! What would we do without our mothers?

Mothers are great aren't they? I sure know my mom helps me out when I'm in a pinch, and I'm not just saying that to get on her good side :). It was nice for that couple to help you out; too bad it wasn't some really cute and nice guy.

Well, we can't push our luck on these things I guess.

Wow, you really do have bad luck with your car! I, too, wish a cute guy would have stopped to help, but at least it wasn't some evil murderer (as opposed to a nonevil murderer???). I hope the smell goes away soon, and if it doesn't, there's always those car scented things - though most of them probably smell worse than the grease/gas smell! :)

Seriously, I feel frustration for you and your car troubles. I always feel so disjointed when something is wrong with Esther (my car).

Just one word - - Trax

Another few words . . . I think you have misled everyone in your car's supposed curse. Remember, I saw the condition of your other tire and you're lucky to be alive. So if you want your car to be a friend, you have to nourish the friendship. In other words, take the poor thing in and get the struts fixed, tires aligned, change the oil, and wash it. Maybe that will kill the curse. It will certainly be a safer vehicle. I know, I'm being such a mother. On a serious note, I spent yesterday evening in ICU with a woman as she held her 22-year old son's hand while ventilators breathed for him. He will be gone before the end of the week. No, it wasn't caused by a car accident, but it sure made me appreciate my kids and pray for their safety and well-being. So I'll help you fix the car so I can have some peace of mind. Love you.

Aaahh. Well, I appreciate all the help, mother. Yes I could be a little nicer to my car. But I think it started it. I do get the oil changed regularly. But I will try to be nicer to my new car whatever it may be and whenever I get it. Especially if its one that I really want. I think I may have just settled on the Cavalier so thats why I don't appreciate it as much.

So, are you seriously thinking about buying a new car - or just thinking about when you someday buy a new car?

Just thinking about when I buy a new car. If I have to buy a new car now I probably can't go to Europe. So let's pray for my car lasting another year and no one wanting to go on fun trips.
